WHITE WATER KAYAK SKILLS COACHING
ADVANCED WHITE WATER KAYAK - 2 or 5 days
Grade 4 Developer
This course is ideal for the Grade 3/4 white water kayaker looking to move from surviving Grade 4 nervously to styling it, playing the river and having the most fun possible! We'll be looking to build confidence on more complex rapids and steeper terrian whilst developing all the necessary skills of: mindset, creativity, solid technical and tactical frameworks, safety and rescue techniques, as well as anxiety cotrol. Our highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable coaches will tailor the course to your needs and wants, and ensure you leave with cast iron frameworks and the tools to get you out loving your local Grade 3/4 rivers.

We shall examine the technical, tactical, physiological and psychological skills that make good white water kayaking - all built on a solid platform of fundamentals that are tried and tested. Our highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable coaches will tailor the course to your needs and wants, and ensure you leave with cast iron frameworks and the tools to get out loving your local Grade 3 rivers.

IMPROVER WHITE WATER KAYAK - 2 days
Grade 2 & 3 Developer
This course is ideal for those who have just started to get into their white water kayaking, and paddled a few river trips at Grade 2, perhaps the odd Grade 3 rapid on a good day. At the moment though, success is "hit and miss" and you are very much looking to develop more confidence, understanding of how the river environment works, and some quality input on how to improve your personal and tactical skills. You are looking to move from surviving Grade 2+ nervously to styling it, playing the river and having the most fun possible!
We shall examine the technical, tactical, physiological and psychological skills that make good white water kayaking - all built on a solid platform of fundamentals that are tried and tested. Our highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable coaches will tailor the course to your needs and wants, and ensure you leave with cast iron frameworks and the tools to get out loving your local Grade 2+ rivers.

SUMMER DAM RELEASE COACHING DAYS

In the Scottish Highlands, Summer doesn't necessarily mean dry rivers. With an annual dam release schedule, this provides Scotland with guaranteed white water on some quality dam release sections all across the Highlands.
These 1 day coaching courses are designed to help you get some input to help you develop your personal skills, hone your tactics, build confidence, and most of all - have some fun in the sun with our expert coaches.
We offer these days on the following dam release sections:
River Awe (Argyll) - for Grade 2/3 paddlers
River Garry (Invergarry) - for Grade 3 paddlers
Upper and Lower Tummel - for Grade 3+ paddlers
Upper and Lower Moriston - for Grade 4 paddlers

FREESTYLE KAYAK DEVELOPER
1 day
This 1 day course is designed for those white water paddlers who are looking to develop their freestyle kayaking skills, with some individualised coaching from Sam Clegg - a talented freestyle, white water and surf kayaker. The course will include plenty of instruction and video feedback on how to develop more control, and expand your range of freestyle moves in a play hole and on waves; not to mention how to get playful on eddy lines. To get the most from the course you'll be happy side-surfing and maybe sometimes flat spinning in a hole as a minimum, and have a reliable roll. The course will be heavily individualised, and will develop your personal skills in line with your current ability and aspirations.

BOOF CLINIC
1 day
This 1 day course is designed to help you give you some input on developing your boof on a variety of different drops. With lots of individualised coaching from talented white water kayaker, Sam Clegg, plus lots of video feedback, you'll get the chance to re-run drops several times, and develop the various components involved with approach, take-off and landing. You'll leave with a much better idea of what you are trying to do, how to apply tactics to specific drops, and the ability to analyse your own performance in the future.
